Director of Formation Counseling Services

About Formation Counseling Services

Formation Counseling Services (FCS) is a non-profit ministry that partners with churches and other ministries to provide counseling services that inspire healing, growth, and renewal.  The ministry makes counseling services accessible to those with the fewest resources and the greatest need while providing exceptional clinical services for all in the community.  The scope of FCS reaches across two states, with ten locations in New Mexico and five in Georgia.

About Formation Counseling Services

This position represents the highest level of leadership within the ministry.  The Director empowers FCS to fulfill the mission of the ministry through spiritual, clinical, and administrative leadership.  The Director is passionate about serving the key emphases of the mission of FCS:  to form Christ in people’s lives, to empower the church to fulfill the Soul Care Commission (Isaiah 61:1-3), to integrate Christian spirituality into counseling ethically and competently, and to inspire the church to invest resources in all the above.

Well-suited candidates will find it life-giving to lead and cast the vision for a ministry that is transforming individual lives, marriages, families, churches, and communities.  The competitive candidate will also enjoy empowering a national ministry and inspiring teamwork in the face of ministry challenges.  Because the Director of FCS is the clinical leader of the ministry, the Director needs to have a strong interest in clinical work and well-developed clinical skills.
